Fictional Romance: Introduction

Sometimes when a story is well told, it's hard to separate fact from fiction. Cindy learns this the hard way in the next "Sean" storyline: "Fictional Romance." After Cindy falls for a character in a book she's just read, it's up to Lynda to try to convince her why that such a relationship just won't work out. Farmer Freddie: Introduction

Today officially kicks off the first day of summer, and this is a very important summer here at "Sean." 20 years ago this summer marked the first time that I drew both Sean and Oliver. As cliche as it sounds, it's hard to believe it's been that long. Having spent the majority of my life with these characters, it's such a thrill to see how they've evolved as they've grown up alongside me. However, sometimes growing up can be difficult as Oliver learns in the next "Sean" storyline: "Farmer Freddie." In this special six-part story, Oliver is distraught to learn that his childhood favorite TV show, Farmer Freddie, has been canceled without him knowing about it. Come back on Wednesday, May 27th for the first installment, and here's to 20 years with Sean and Oliver!

With Spring in full swing, things are beginning to heat up, and not just in terms of temperature. Will confronting Rebecca result in Sean reclaiming what he feels is rightfully his or will he have to surrender and do a different fundraiser instead? Be sure to check back here starting on Wednesday, April 22nd to find out.

Unprepared: Introduction

Everybody has their off days. Even the best of student can suddenly realize they've let something slip through the cracks, and that is exactly the situation in which Cindy will find herself. In the latest "Sean" storyline, "Unprepared," Cindy must give a presentation in front of the class after leaving her research and notes at home. Will she be able to stay cool under pressure? No, she won't, but you should be sure to come back starting Wednesday, March 11th to see what happens anyway in this special 6-part story.

On a more personal note, I'm pleased to say this month will be the 10th anniversary of the first time that I drew Cindy. Even after all that time, it is a joy to still write for and draw this character, and I'm already looking forward to even more opportunities to do so in the future. Happy 10th, Cindy!

New Lang Syne: Introduction

For some, the end of the year is a time of reflection on the previous 12 months or even farther back into the days of Auld Lang Syne. However, Sean has always been one to look forward to the promise of what's to come than to dwell too much on the past. In "New Lang Syne," Sean finds himself in anticipation for the new year, which puts himself at odds with some of his friends who find themselves more interested in living in the past or the present.

Not only will this storyline contain the last comic of 2014 and the first comic of 2015, but it will also feature a major milestone in the history of the strip: the 200th "Sean" webcomic! While I have this opportunity, I want to thank all of you who have viewed and supported my humble work over these last nearly 200 weeks. It's been so rewarding to see my art improve and my character grow and evolve over the years, and it is my hope that you've enjoyed seeing that, too. Be sure to stop by again starting Wednesday, December 31st, for the beginning of what is shaping up to be a year of milestones for Sean and his friends.
